Avid B4.2 motor centering kit & servo mounts

Avid is busy adding more option parts to their range of after market parts. First up is the motor centering kit for Team Associated’s B4.2, T4.2 and SC10.2 line of off-road vehicles as well as the respective predecessors. The parts are designed to overcome the imbalance issue often associated with the vehicles that are heavy on the left rear, which also makes an imbalance on the front tires. By shifting the motor, motorplate, and slipper 5mm towards the right, the balance is restored close to 50/50 for a more predictable handling. Along with the improved balance also goes a 6.7g weight saving. The set includes a 5mm aluminium spacer, 5mm slipper spacer, and stainless steel mount screws.

Also new are metric and imperial servo mounts for many of today’s 1/10th vehicles. The parts are CNC-machined from high quality aluminium and come black anodised and laser-etched with the metric ones being ideal for brands like Kyosho, Yokomo, HPI, Tamiya and more. The imperial mounts fit Team Associated’s 10th off-road vehicles beside others. In order to make servo installation even more convenient, Avid also introduce 1.5mm and 2.5mm carbon fibre servo mount spacers. The rigid spacers ensure that the servo stays tight and the screws do not loosen as the plastic shims compress over time. The shims also allow for precise steering linkage angle adjustment. All parts are available separately or as respective mount plus spacer sets.
