Team Durango DEX410v5 – Full details
Following a first teaser Team Durango now have more images and information on the forthcoming DEX410v5 1/10th electric 4WD buggy available. The backbone of the partly redesigned buggy is a wider 6061 aluminium main chassis that allows for a multitude of electronic configurations. The buggy can be run with saddle pack LiPos who can be shifted forth and back while the use of a shorty LiPo battery allows to run the motor in a front or rear position. Along with the new chassis goes a redesigned rear bulkhead assembly with zero rear kick-up for an ultra-low differential placement. The new design is meant to increase rear-end traction while creating a forgiving handling style on all surfaces.
Designed for fast, consistent and easy motor mounting and gear meshing is the precision aluminium motor plate, which mounts easily into the innovative motor mount. It incorporates two screws to set the gear mesh, with no need to use option parts to gain alternative motor configurations in the chassis layout. Another new part for the v5 is the combined slipper clutch and centre differential that makes for increased overall traction and ultra-smooth power transfer on a variety of surfaces. An optional slipper assembly can be run in the same position. A feature taken over from the DEX210v3 are the rear Multi-Axle CVD driveshafts who allow for quick on-power steering response by using longer or shorter driveshafts. The kit is rounded out by new rear suspension mounts with moulded composite inserts, a set of 12mm and 14mm wheel hex adapters and a new, aggressively shaped bodyshell.
