Todd wins Spanish eBuggy Championship Round 3

Mugen Seiki driver David Todd has won the latest round of the Spanish 1:8 eBuggy National Championships. Racing at Valladolid, host of the 2025 European eBuggy Championship, and the penultimate round of the 4 round National Championship attracted 40 drivers, and it was Todd who would secure the overall TQ. The 2024 Euro B Champion was fastest in 4 of the 5 rounds of which 3 counted. Fastest in Q4, Adrian Pariente put his Sparko second on the grid ahead of his brother Daniel’s Tekno. In the triple finals while Todd took the opener, it was Adrian Pariente who took A2 ahead of Todd pushing the decider to A3 which Todd duly won by over 5-seconds. After a DNF in A1, a pair of third places saw Daniel Pariente complete the podium. Todd would also take the win in eTruggy.

Team EAM 488mAh 1:28 Racing LiPo

US batteries brand Team EAM, has a new 488mAh 70C LiPo which has been engineered for 1:28 racing and designed to give maximum performance in the smallest package. Measuring 45mm x 24mm x 13mm and weighing ~22 grams, it is built around their proven ML Graph-X technology from the world champion-proven 1:12 and 1:10 scale battery line. Featuring 2mm connector sockets, this new addition delivers the same focus on lowest internal resistance and highest power output but now in micro scale.

2026 MonTech New York Grand Prix – Entries Open

Following some delays due to technical gremlins, entries for the eighth running of the MonTech New York Grand Prix are now finally open. Established as one of the highlights on the annual American electric onroad racing calendar, registration for this year’s event has switched to the LiveRC platform and came be made here. Taking place on October 15-18 at the 360v2 indoor track in New Rochelle, New York, the race schedule will see drivers compete for top honours over a total of 10 different classes. Last year it was Awesomatix’s Sam Isaacs who did the double winning both 1:12 Mod and Touring Car with NYGP debutant Lucas Urbain heading the international challenge. The French touring car ace would claim the final step on the Mod TC podium behind the race’s big 2024 winner Kemp Anderson. The vision of long time 1:12 racer and multiple World Championship finalist Donny Lia, the NYGP is the nearest thing RC will get to having a race in Time Square, the centre of the City That Never Sleeps just a 20-minute train ride from the track. Counting multiple World Champions Marc Rheinard (2022 NYGP Winner), Ronald Volker (2019 NYGP Winner), Alexander Hagberg, reigning 1:12 Stock World Champion Max Mächler, and Ollie Payne as previous participants, the 105 X 48 feet 360V2 is one of the biggest indoor tracks in the US. Red RC will be making the trip state side to cover the event for our third consecutive year.

Xbility Hybrid Flex Chassis with Servo Mount

Announcing a number of new options parts for its range of cars, 1:28 World Champion manufacturer Xbility is introducing this Hybrid Flex Chassis with Servo Mount. The hybrid chassis combines a steel chassis section with a carbon chassis section, bolted together. The torsional flex can be adjusted by adding or removing screws, allowing the desired level of chassis flex to be controlled.

Awesomatix Optional Sway Bars

Touring Car manufacturer Awesomatix has introduced three new optional softer sway bars. Available in 0.7, 0.8, and 0.9 mm as sets of 2 pieces, these softer sway bars increase mechanical grip and smooth out chassis response, ideal for technical, low-traction tracks where extra chassis roll improves cornering without making the car feel nervous. Each sway bar mark is marked with tabs corresponding to the .mm thickness for easy identification.

T-Work’s RC8 B4.2 Alu Rear Hubs

T-Works is now offering these Aluminium Rear Hubs for the RC8 B4.2 1:8 Buggy platform from Team Associated. The 7075 T6 aluminium rear hub carrier has enhanced strength and hardness, improving durability and adjustability. The top of the wheel mount is connected to the hub with carbon fibre plates which feature multiple adjustments holes for fine tuning. Matched with different embedded adjustment blocks, it can be adjusted according to different track conditions and the performance requirements of the buggy to optimise handling and stability.

Caster Racing NTO821.2 New Design Crown & Pinion

Caster Racing has a newly designed Crown and Pinion gear for their NTO821.2 and ETO821.2 1:8 Buggy platforms. Now Spiral Cut Bevel Gears, they will provide smoother & quieter operation as the curved teeth engage gradually rather than all at once, resulting in significantly reduced noise and vibration. Multiple teeth contact each other simultaneously spreading the force over a larger surface area to withstand higher torque. The new design also offers increased durability thanks to better stress distribution that leads to less tooth fatigue under heavy loads.

2027 FEMCA Asia Nitro C/ship – Registration Open

Following the very successful running of the IFMAR 1:10 Nitro Touring Car Championship in Italy, FEMCA have been in touch to highlight the opening of entries for the 2027 Asia Nitro Championship which will be hosted at England Park Raceway in Queensland, Australia. Scheduled for March 9 – 13, 2027, the race to become the official Champion of Asia will cater for at three IFMAR Nitro Onroad categories with racing for 1:10 Nitro Touring Car (200mm), 1:8 Onroad and 1:8 GT. The governing body for RC racing in Asia and Australasia, FEMCA represents 15 nations. Registration for 1:10 and 1:8 Onroad includes 8 sets control tyres, control fuel, entry & banquet for driver while 1:8 GT includes 3 sets of tyres. While registration is now open via rcracepal.com interested racers should note that registration closes 30 November, 2026 due to lead times need by tyre and fuel manufacturers. Host club Queensland Radio Circuit Car Racing Association has created an information document on the event and the each class which can be viewed here
