O.S. introduce new .21 & .12 nitro engines
O.S. Engine have released first images and information on three new .21 and .12 engines. First up is the Speed 21XZ-B Spec.III 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. The latest edition of the competition engine features a revised liner for improved torque in the low and mid RPM range while maintaining exceptional mileage at the same time. Also new is the DLC-coated and tungsten-balanced crankshaft and all that is housed in a redesigned crankcase and topped off by a 5mm lower cooling head. The engine is rounded out by the 21J carburettor. The engine will become available in August and it is also available as a combo package including a T-2060SC EFRA2042 pipe.
Also new is the ROAR-legal O.S. Speed 21XZ-GT 1/8th GT engine. Specially developed for the growing nitro GT class the 5-port engine is based off of the 21XZ-R but it features a GT-legal liner, a redesigned crankshaft, 7mm venturi insert and a low-profile cooling head. The XZ-GT is available from August as engine only or including a T-2060SC EFRA2042 exhaust with M2003SC 70mm manifold. Last but not least comes the 2.1cc MAX-12TG Ver.III Plus engine, a limited edition release whose interchangeable combustion camber insert allows the use of turbo of standard glow plugs.
