Corsatec engines for Kobbevik

Corsatec, the engine brand headed by Adrien Bertin, has announced the signing of Norwegian Offroad talent Daniel Kobbevik ahead of the upcoming IFMAR 1:8 Nitro Buggy World Championship in Texas. The factory Schumacher driver, who finally claimed his first European title when he became the EFRA 1:10 4WD Offroad European Champion in Austria during the Summer, has had a limited nitro program but has travelled to France to get some finally mileage in ahead of the trip to the Thornhill Racing Circuit. Announcing their newest team member on social media, Corsatec posted, ‘A new chapter begins. We’re proud to welcome Daniel Kobbevik to the Corsatec family, joining us for his new challenge in Nitro. And there’s no better place to start: Daniel will make his first race with Corsatec at the World Championship. A new driver. A new challenge. And the biggest stage to begin. Excelerate RC Prodigy F1 Ball Diff

US electric onroad kit manufacturer Excelerate RC has a new Ball Differential offering for its Prodigy F1 kit. After the release of its full size F1 inspire gear diff last year, the new version of the more conventional ball diff features a lightweight carbon fibre axle. Finished with precision machined aluminium components the updated diff provides the perfect base off which to dial in your Prodigy F1.

Canberra, Australia to open 2027 Asian Buggy C/ships season

With the latest season of the Asian Buggy Championships have just concluded recently in Indonesia, the high profile 1:8 Offroad Championship has announced a brand new host venue for the opening race of Season #5 which takes racers to Canberra, Australia. Kicking off the four round championship on February 10-14, Canberra Off-Road Model Car Club (CORMCC) is located in Australia’s capital, and is one of the country’s best, longest running venues, renowned for its natural dirt surface that grooves up beautifully. CORMCC has played host to many National Championship events, including the 2026 edition, and will be an ideal venue to open ABC ’27. The addition of Canberra and the new True North facility in the Philippines marks a new look for the series next year. In making this announcement and confirming new venues, ABC paid tribute to the Pine Hills and Counties RC teams that have hosted ABC races in recent years. After the season opener Round 2 will take races to the new Philippine Masters from Mar 31-Apr 4 before return to new for 2026 track Lap Paradise in Malaysia from May 26-30. Details for the fourth & final round of 2027 will be announced shortly.

SkyRC S65neo AC Smart Balance Charger

SkyRC has expanded its offering of RC chargers with the introduction of the new S65neo, a compact AC smart charger. Measuring just 84 × 84 × 45mm, despite its palm-sized footprint, the S65neo delivers up to 65W of charging power and a maximum 10A charge current, with balance charging for a wide range of RC batteries. The main output and balance port work together to provide up to 10W of discharge power, while built-in internal resistance measurement offers a quick way to check battery condition. Beyond charging, S65neo can also serve as an adjustable digital DC power supply, offering 6–17V output and 0.5–9A current. A high-efficiency synchronous rectification design, intelligent temperature-controlled cooling fan and multilingual interface round out the package, making S65neo a versatile charging solution for the workbench, pit area or travel bag.

3rd consecutive Italian title for Collina – Report

Schumacher’s Mattia Collina has secured his third consecutive Italian National crown in the premier Modified Touring Car class. ‘Le Caselle’ track in Arezzo hosted the 2026 Italian RC Touring Car Championship, the pinnacle event of the national season held under the sanction of ACI Sport, the Italian Motorsport Federation. The three-day competition brought together the country’s top drivers to challenge for four official national titles, combining high-speed action, technical precision, and relentless consistency. Making Collina victory this year even more significant, his brother Federico Collina finished second to seal a 1-2 at the top of the podium. The Xray of Orlando Fenili completed the top three ahead of Infinity’s Alessio Menicucci and Federico Randi. The remaining classes delivered equally compelling storylines. In Touring Stock, Luigi Ciavolino put an end to years of near-misses, claiming a deeply emotional first Italian title ahead of Flavio Paladin and Andrea Efficace. The LM +40 Masters category saw Alessandro Rampini complete a brilliant championship hat-trick, taking his third straight title in an increasingly competitive field ahead of Andrea Giusti and Alessandro Vanni. Meanwhile, Luca Tramelli captured the FWD national title, sharing the podium with runner-up Simone De Lorenzo and young talent Leo Marka in third. Beyond the senior honours, the weekend put a strong focus on the future of the sport. Supported by ACI Arezzo, ten Under-16 drivers were awarded the “Young Prospects” distinction, celebrating the dedication of the rising generation and the essential support of their families in advancing Italian RC motorsport.

Team Saxo has announced the release of new slick and threaded tyres intended for 1:28 Mini-Z use. Supplied as tyres only, each front and rear is offered in 4 different compounds with a choice of 25X, 30X, 35X, and 40X options to suit various track conditions. With wheels and inserts needed to be purchased separately, the front tyres must be used with 8.5mm wide wheels and the rears mounted on 11mm wide wheels.

The longer 2.5mm thick chassis lets you expand your body shell options and tune your chassis geometry. While the standard kit provides 210mm and 225mm configurations, this extended 239mm conversion allows you to seamlessly fit longer 239mm M-Chassis bodies while enhancing high-speed stability and tracking on larger or high-grip circuits. It provides multi-position Inline Battery Layouts and features integrated mounting positions to fine-tune your inline shorty LiPo battery placement, allowing exact front-to-rear weight bias adjustments for maximum traction. As a platform users can utilise it to build the kit, learn the adjustments, keep your setup sheets, and open the official manual – all in one place, on your iPhone. Build Bags A to J following an interactive step-by-step guide through twelve chapters. Tick each action, resume where you left off, and filter steps or carbon, aluminium or steel chassis. Parts lists, notes, tips and exploded views sit next to every step. Watch the official build with Chris Mitchell, bag by bag. On Adjustments like Ride height, droop, camber, up-stop and more, the kit baselines are explained one setting at a time, with the “which way” notes from the SP2 manual. Flex, rockers, ARB, steering lock, springs and FDR charts are included as in-app guides.
