Xray X4 1/10th touring car chassis

Xray have finally released the full details on their all new X4 touring car platform, having teased it on social media over the past weeks. The X4 features an advanced upper/lower arm suspension mounted to new bulkhead framework and a narrowed chassis layout to push performance to the next level. The unique CFF Carbon Fibre Fusion upper and lower suspension arms offer outstanding handling & durability with all suspension components mounted directly to the CFF arms without the need for any additional brackets, inserts or bushings for accuracy and reliability. The new ARS suspension features highly adjustable geometry settings including roll center, caster and an active toe adjustment while the new precision Hudy Spring Steel pivot balls in all suspension pivots provide smooth suspension movement. All-new hubs are universal front and rear to reduce the number of spares for easier maintenance and the new anti-roll bar shapes match the updated mounting points on the suspension arms. All-new aluminium shock towers with multiple shock mounting positions provide maximum adjustability and all-new upper bulkheads sport caster inserts for quick setup changes and feature centering pins for precise installation and improved reliability.

Redcat Kaiju EXT 6S monster truck

Redcat has taken the popular 1:8 scale Kaiju monster truck and extended its wheelbase, along with some additional changes. These changes include new belted tires, motor heatsink with fan, new motor mount, metal servo horn, rear wing, and a body that comes in white or copper. The EXT has a new and longer chassis which brings the wheelbase to 360mm. This gives the Kaiju EXT an additional 51mm of wheelbase over the original version which was an incredibly fun truck to drive, especially while using a 6S LiPo to perform standing backflips and pull wheelies at almost any speed. Don’t let the extended wheelbase fool you, the EXT is fully capable of the same backflips and even longer wheelies due to its added stability.

Capricorn Lab GT2 EP chassis kit

Italian manufacturer Capricorn have expanded their range, by entering 1:8th GT world, offering a unique design to other competitors on the market that will come in both a GP and EP version. The GT2 EP has some very unique features, the main one being carbon upper and lower arms which are mounted on a pivot ball to the chassis, something which is now becoming more widely used in the 1:10 touring car scene. Accompanying the carbon lower arm will be a carbon upper arm, which provides a far more stable flex characteristic especially for varying temperatures and traction conditions. On to the drivetrain and in classic Capricorn fashion it has been made as light as possible keeping reliability in mind. With the weight of the chassis in this class, the lighter drivetrain will aid in acceleration. A low centre of gravity has also been taken in to consideration with super low shock towers and sway bars, along with getting the height of the bulkheads as low as possible for increased corner speed. There is a range of adjustability through the car from axle height adjustment, differential height adjustment and a wide range of flex options.

Fenix Racing Mistral 3.3 Formula car kit

Fenix Racing are pleased to introduce the successor of the Mistral 2.0, the Mistral 3.3. The Mistral 3.3 keeps the V-link suspension at the rear, that has been found to be extremely tuneable to every grip condition. Up front they have retained the major features of Mistral 2.0, such as the camber adjustable by turnbuckles, with static caster is adjustable via dedicated shims as well as the adjustable dynamic caster value. On Mistral 3.3 the wheelbase is now adjustable in steps of 5mm for a range of 10mm. The best part is that changing the wheelbase requires just a couple of minutes and no setup changes, via the use of a 2.5mm carbon subframe that carries all the front-end components. This feature, allow the servo to be fixed in the lowest possible position, allowing a super low Centre of Gravity. The main chassis is made of 3mm carbon fibre, which allowed them to pocket the battery area, keeping the LiPo extremely low, again in the quest of the lowest CoG possible. Another great feature is that changing the wheelbase will not require different body hole positions. The Mistral 3.3 will be offered in 2 versions, long and short, the long one allowing a wheelbase of 275-270-265mm, while the short spec allows a wheelbase of 265-260-255mm. A conversion kit from Mistral 2.0 to Mistral 3.3 will follow soon.
