Orlowski is 1:8 Electric Offroad European Champion

Michal Orlowski is the new 2023 EFRA 1:8 Electric Offroad European Champion.  The seventh running of the championship, the factory Schumacher/Hobbywing driver became the 6th different winner of the title when he took victory at the Rhein-Main Circuit in Germany, ahead of Top Qualifier Bruno Coelho.  With Coelho and Orlowski having two TQ runs each in qualifying, it was the only other driver to top the times, Mugen’s Burak Kilic, who would take the opening A-Main.  Starting third and passing Orlowski early on, Kilic got to the front for the win following a mistake from Coelho.  In the second of the 10-minute encounters it was Orlowski who took the win, the Polish driver going to the front on lap 3 as Coelho got out of shape and eventually crossed the line in 3rd putting him out of title contention.  With A3 the decider between Orlowski, Kilic and local hero Aaron Rönick, who took a second in A2, it was to be an action packed race.  A mistake from Coelho allowed Kilic and Orlowski to go to the front.  As they battled over the lead, Coelho caught them up but out of contention he showed great sportsmanship and allowed the pair to duel it out.  With 2-minutes to go, as Orlowski closed on Kilic at the end of the main straight, there was contact resulting in both drivers needing to be marshalled.  As the field went through and Coelho headed for the win over the Sworkz of Jörn Neumann, 5th and 11th respectively for Kilic and Orlowski gave the Polish driver the over title over Coelho with Kilic completing the podium.

Rêve D for RDX R-tune Spring series

Japanese RC Drift car manufacturer Rêve D has introduced a new R-tune spring specially tuned for RDX car kit, which uses the “SWO” material that has been proven in the R-tune series. By adopting a new “SWO” material and making it easier to induce initial subduction even at higher spring rates gives a strong kicking feeling and control performance are realised at a high level.  The spring length is 23mm, which is the shortest length in the Rêve D product.  By shortening the spring, it is possible to suppress the elongation of the suspension and apply the surface pressure to the tyre stably both front and rear.  It can be used for both the front and rear, and the line-to-line contact structure, which is popular in the R-tune spring series, continues to be used.  By swapping the top and bottom of the spring, it is possible to instantly adjust according to the road surface conditions and driving skill.  There are 3 spring types in the lineup  – soft, medium hard, hard, and Rêve D have an all-set that contains all three types in a special box.

RC Maker Carbon Tweak Stick Pro End Plates

RC Maker has evolved one of its most popular products with the introduction of their brand new Carbon Tweak Stick Pro End Plates.  These new end plates feature a black anodised 7075 aluminium hub with a carbon attachment that locates onto the upper bulkheads of your touring car.  The hub features a vertical grub screw which locks the end plate down to the stick, making sure it always stays flat and in the same place.  This design keeps the whole assembly more sturdy whilst you apply pressure to the stick.  The new Tweak Stick Pro End Plates fit both the existing RC Maker tweak stick, and their new Tweak Stick Pro.  So if you’ve already got the Original Tweak Stick,  you can just upgrade with the new end plates.  The new tweak stick pro stick itself, has some cool features which work well with these new end plates, and also offer access to centre motor mount screws which wasn’t possible on the original tweak stick.  This new Tweak Stick Pro is sold separately to these end plates.  Different cars require different versions of these end plates, so RC Maker offer different versions for each car.
