Strenge & Beck win NE German Regional

Team Durango are reporting that their very own Gerd Strenge, chief designer of the DEX410, took the win at the National qualifier at the weekend. After qualifying 2nd, Gerd dominated the final taking the win in the hotly contested NE regional race. Stock specialist and Multiple German champion Ebi Beck TQ’d and also won the stock class in style with his DEX410.

Axial Racing have released details on their latest crawler kit, the XR10. This sick looking ‘no-compromise’ competition ready kit features all new front and rear strong durable composite plastic, lightweight axles, all New behind the axle (BTA) steering and over sized 12.5mm universals with 4mm and 2.5mm cross pins. Utilizing a 37.9:1 gear ratio, using the included 14T pinion, the gearbox allows the use of 12-19T pinions for gear ratios ranging from 44.2:1 through 27.9:1. Dual motors allow you to easily adjust your front and rear gear ratios independently while compact and lightweight gearboxes keep the motor positioned closer to the axle housing and above the axle center line for extra clearance.

LRP VTEC high response tire insert

LRP have released this new VTEC 1/8 buggy high-response insert for competition 1/8 off road racing drivers. The new insert is developed using the latest 1/8 off road foam material, generating increased traction and durable performance to the tires. This new foam insert features grooved outside channels to perfectly fit into the tires stability ribs, minimizing the flex and slipping between the tires and the insert.

Following the signing of current European 1/10th scale 200mm Champion Dirk Wischnewski some weeks ago, Czech design company Dubi Design have announced that they have also come to an agreement with top international Swedish driver Alexander Hagberg. The Xray team driver will contest this season, just as he did last year, sporting Dubi Design airbrushed shells.

Core RC have introduced their new range of Off Road tires and molded inserts. The tires are a soft compound suitable for dirt and general low traction conditions and are available in the two pattern styles Multi Bow and Multi Block in 4wd front and rear. Supplied with matching lightweight red molded insert, these inserts are also available separately for front and rear and have been tested extensively by some of their top team drivers, being used to great effect at the BRCA British Open with Simon Moss taking the victory.

Tom Cockerill wins 2wd at Robinhood Raceway

oOple are reporting that Tom Cockerill, driving the Schumacher Cougar SV, took the win at the second round of the 2010 BRCA 10th off road national series held at Robinhood Raceway. Tom shared qualifying bragging rights equally with Tamiya’s Lee Martin, with both drivers taking two of the four rounds. Tom’s faster time put him on pole however and Tom took the win in the opening two legs to secure victory. Lee Martin took the third leg and finished 2nd overall with Danny McGee driving for Losi third with his XXXCR2 mid motor car.
