Pro Line 5B/5T Chassis & options

Pro-Line brings a powerful blend of technology, durability, precision and weight savings to the Baja 5B/5T, with the introduction of this carbon fibre chassis. The latest in woven carbon fibre technology has been integrated into the chassis. It’s perfectly formed to stock measurements yet one continuous piece of woven carbon fibre from top to bottom and front to back. Its multi-layered finish creates strength and durability, with hour and hours of running on track, in fields and testing head-on into objects ensure that you have the durability you’ve grown to know and love about your 5B/5T. This new chassis is nearly 10 ounces lighter than the original chassis. Other new carbon option parts include a rear arm brace, front arm brace, rear upper plate set, engine mount brace set, gear plate, front upper plate and rear brace.

JConcepts Illuzion SC10 over tray

When racing on a loamy or top soil track surface the inside of the SC10 chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the JConcepts over-tray these worries are minimized with the simple and functional over-tray. Fitting nicely under the body, it hugs the outside dimension of the SC10 chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing conditions. The over-tray is snug around the entire chassis structure while being attached in the rear with blue anodized thumbscrews and a slide-in fit in the front for easy access. The over-tray is built with extra height and rake to provide extra room for various electrical and battery configurations.

Xceed Off road Air filter oil

Xceed have released their new blue off-road air filter oil. Supplied in a 50ml bottle, this high quality and very sticky oil is perfect for buggy air filters. Sticky enough to stop the dirt and dust getting into the engine, at the same time it allows enough air to flow through so there is no loss of performance. The bottle has a handy tip for applying the oil to the filter and the oil can also be used for on road, if used on very dirty and dusty tracks.

AKA SC10 1/8th Wheel adapters

For those looking for better handling from their SC10, AKA have expanded their line up of 1:8 wheel adapters to now include the Associated SC10 truck that allow you to mount regular buggy wheels to your truck. Made from 7075 aluminum and hard anodized, they are supplied with all the necessary fasteners to mount them and include AKA “SureGrip” 17mm nuts, which are also available to buy separately, to keep the wheels securely on the hubs. The wheel nuts are made from 7075 aluminium and also feature hard anodizing plus a knurled rear face to grab the plastic of the wheel and stay put. The adapters install in just minutes and require zero modifications to the truck and the stock width and steering radius are kept in tact. All popular 1:8 buggy wheels can be used including Associated SC8 wheels.

South African Electric Nats Rd4

The 4th round of the South African Electric National Championships were held this past weekend at the brand new Welkom RC Club facility. This facility located about 2.5 hours south of Johannesburg was the dream of Antonio Caroli, Antonio the SA distributor for ATS Tires, Team Wave and Castle Creations has always wanted to have a first class venue available to not only the drivers in South Africa but also the world. He has worked tirelessly on the facility to ensure that every detail was taken care of and the track was prepared for the grand opening event.

Tourex X500 1/8th buggy tires

RMV Deutschland have announced that their lineup of 1/8th Tourex X500 buggy tires are now available in soft, medium and hard compounds. These new X500 tires are available unmounted and also glued on either white or yellow Tourex rims. At last month’s European Championships in Wölbling, Austria top German driver Daniel Reckward used these new tires to claim 8th spot in the final on their race debut.
