RB Products new Jacket range

RB Products Winter jackets

The release of these 2 new jackets from RB Products came at the start of September but as we missed them, here they are. The first up is the Praha Jacket (above right) which is a very fashionable looking winter coat with a charcoal grey/orange fire colour, this high-quality jacket has a soft polar fleece lining that will protect you from bad weather. The second jacket, called Gotteborg, is a brand new edition of the polar fleece jacket. Lighter and easier to wear this new RB Teamwear is smarter than ever with orange topstitchings and is adjustable to protect you against cold wind.

CML Distribution in the UK have announced the sale of this new supe soft fuel bottle by HARD Racing. This racing fuel bottle is made from a soft and pliable material which makes it easy to control the amount, and speed, of fuel delivered to your nitro vehicle. The bottle is smoke coloured and a new black fuel bottle holder comes with 2 different coloured caps.

HUDY have release this Wheel Nut Tool specially developed to work on the 1/8 Buggy and Truggy 17mm wheel nuts in dirty and abusive conditions. No matter how tightly the wheel nuts are locked, the HUDY Wheel Nut Tool will allow you to very easily and comfortably release the wheel nut. The special design of the oversized handle gives you superior torque to tighten the wheel nuts, helping to ensure no more lost wheels, as well as loosening them. For the ultimate precision and fit the inner hex is specially CNC-machined instead of pressed in to ensure maximum precision of the inner hex shape.

The tool is fully CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6, the world’s strongest aluminum material available on the RC market. To guarantee long life and protect the shape of the tool even in the most extreme conditions, the tool is hardcoated using XRAY’s own unique purpose-built fully-robotic hardcoating line using a self-formulated hardcoating mixture to ensure a very even and precise hardcoated surface.

Joel Johnson wins ROAR 1/8 On-Road Nationals

Joel Johnson, Vice President of Kyosho America and an accomplished racer with two World titles and countless National Championships to his credit, can now add 2007 ROAR 1/8 On-Road Nation Champion to his dossier.

Driving a 2007 Kyosho Evolva, Johnson qualified fifth for the A-main. He decided to set-up his car for a long, conservative run during the final that would not include a tire change, while many other drivers stopped mid-race for a tire change. Johnson’s measured pace paid off around the mid-point of the one-hour final, passing most of the front-runners as they stopped for tires. After swapping the lead back and forth a few times due to pit stops, Johnson finally took the lead for good in the last ten minutes, scoring the win as the 2007 ROAR 1/8 On-Road National Champion with his Sirio-powered Kyosho Evolva 2007.

Werks Racing enter competitive 1/8th on-road racing market

Matsuzaki is 2WD World Champion

Hot Bodies driver Hayato Matsuzaki is the 2007 IFMAR 2WD Off Road World Champion. The Japanese driver won the crown on home soil from fellow B4 drivers Jared Tebo and Ryan Maifield after winning Legs 2 and 3 of the A Main. Having TQ’d the event, Matsuzaki got off to a poor start finishing only seventh in Leg 1 as Maifield took the win. Rising to the occassion the Japanese ace came back in style to win the next two legs to lift the World title. World Championship action continues in Japan with the 4WD World Champion set to be decided over the coming days. Continuing with its expansion of r/c batteries, Speedzone has announce yet another addition, the E-Power 4500, to it’s line of matched cells. Boasting 4500+ mAh at full charge, the E-Power Cell gives the r/c hobbyist and racer another battery option when it comes to capacity and performance. With this addition, Speedzone has now expanded it battery line to include Grepow, E-Power and Intellect, giving their customers a full array of batteries to choose from. Runtime and reliability of the E-Power Cell has been very good and, as with the Grepow Cell, has exceeded Speedzone’s own expectations. It has proven to be a consistent cell with minimal self-discharge. All E-Power matched Cells will be labeled with our standard matching information, including the cells release date, which was first introduced by Speedzone over 2 years ago, in 2005. Cells will be available through the Speedzone website.
