Region 1 Regional Championship report

We received this brief report from the recent Region 1 Championships hosted this year by NERCAR, one of the oldest and most revered RC Clubs in the region. The day was one that started with promise for many and the placement of only a few in the main show. After the lengthy day it proved that two racers from the Region would hold the title of Regional Champion, Mr. Alex “Total Control” Frank for the 1/8 scalers and Jamie “Mr. Consistency” Carrado for 1/10th scale.

After a few rounds of dredging competitive race action, lead battling it was obvious the gentlemen and participants of the day were in for a great day of racing and action filled excitement. NERCAR run by Ralph Morella, and his tight knit organization, ran the race as well as to be expected of one of the best clubs in the Region showing that the experience of the Club and its member allowed a fun filled action packed event that the participants will not soon forget. On behalf of all participants and Regional race attendants this was the test of the best of the Region and these 2 great racers battled for position and for the right to be called REGIONAL CHAMPIONS. It is obvious in the stature and the prominence in the style and characteristics of these two great racers driving style that they have claimed the titles and not only that but have earned our respect in their abilities to get the job done.
