Siegfried wins French 1/8 Nats Rd5
The 5th and final round of the French 1/8th scale Nationals were run last weekend in Niort under dry sunny conditions. In the Elite class it was Richard Volta that took the TQ from Stephane Bouche in 2nd and Adrien Siegfried in 3rd, just ahead of Jacky Mouton who was making a one off return to 1/8th scale racing in 4th. In the final it was Volta that took a commanding position at the front of the race, with fellow title hopeful Siegfried in 2nd place. Volta however ran into troubles later in the race and Adrien could take over at the front, eventually winning from Jérôme Papaconstantinos in 2nd and Jacky Mouton ending in 3rd. This win gave Siegfried the 2008 French Elite National title. In the National class it was Romain Baehrel that took the win, clinching the class title, from Gérald Colinet in 2nd and Jérôme Berthelot in 3rd.
