LRP XTEC X12 Sintered rotors

LRP have released 3 new sintered rotors for the XTEC X12 brushless modified motor and feature magnets graded on a new and strengthened shaft for optimized motor performance. The 12.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum top speed with a linear throttle feel and is the preferred choice of the LRP team on big tracks with long straights. The 12.5mm is optimized for efficiency and mid-range torque and this rotor is the perfect starting point for every setup on every track and has already been successful by winning the 2008 1/12th IFMAR World Championship and 2009 1/12th European Championship. Finally the 13.0mm rotor is optimized for maximum torque and power and recommended for short tracks with many acceleration parts or on tracks that are tough on run time.

Yokomo RC12R5 World Champion Edition

To celebrate the 1/12th scale World title of Japanese driver Naoto Matsukura, Yokomo have released a World Champion Edition of the Associated RC12R5. The car is essentially the same basic car from Associated but with extra tuning parts from the Japanese company that were used by Naoto to take his World title. The rear end gets most of the attention with new rear blocks, differential hub and central body post mount plate holder, all machined from aluminium and anodised blue. The new parts help stiffen the rear of the car and improve stability as well as improve rear grip.

Associated Official R/C Car of Lucas Oil Off Road Series

Team Associated have announced that an agreement has been reached with Lucas Oil Products Inc. to make Team Associated the official R/C Car of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series. Cliff Lett, Vice President of Associated has the following to say about the deal:

JConcepts Hyper 9 & X2 Hi-Flow shells

JConcepts have released 2 new bodyshells for the Jammin X2 and the Hobao Hyper 9 buggies. The Hyper 9 is new and unique and demands a body which is just the same and JConcepts has responded with the latest Illuzion body specifically designed for the Hyper. The Illuzion “Hi-Flow” styling presents a smooth yet detailed design while incorporating many of the features from the original Hi-Flow body. Special consideration has been made for the Hyper 9 considering the air filter, side guards, battery box and extra clearance around the throttle and break linkage. Team Azarashi Womoog B-Max4 shell

Team Azarashi, the off road body specialists have shown photos of their Womoog prototype shell for the European and Japanese Championship winning Yokomo B-Max4 EP buggy. The body offers high levels of stability and a cool new look and the photos here show the almost final version, with only small modifications needing to be made before the body’s release in the near future.

Lowe & Sleigh win Batley Supercup

oOple are reporting that last weekend saw the return of the Annual ‘Batley Supercup’ held at the indoor Batley venue. Racing got underway around 9am after an early start to practice. Richard Lowe dominated 4WD and Truck classes – winning all qualifiers and both finals. Richard couldn’t seem to get it together in 2WD however and after an early challenge by Steve Lawson, it was Mid West driver Phil Sleigh who dominated the last three rounds of qualifying – going on to win the final in style.
