Toy Fair 2010 – Kyosho
New from Kyosho is their 190mm competition touring car, which we have seen in various stages of development over the past few years. Called the TF6, everything is more centralized on the car and it is LiPo ready and more durable than the previous car with stronger rear drive cups. The front drive system, which we got the first view of at the DHI Cup, uses steel balls to provide forward drive between the drive cup and front drive shaft yet wont bind under suspension compression. The car is set to be released in May.
Other new items on the stand include the MP9E, which is the brushless version of the company’s 1/8th scale buggy and which will be available with or without a Team Orion electronic set. In 1/10th scale off road the new Ultima RB5 SP sees the motor moved more towards the centre line, has slightly longer rear wishbones and is supplied with velvet coated shock absorbers. Not on the stand but expected to be released at the start of summer is the new FS 4wd electric buggy which is expected to feature a new carbon chassis for LiPo saddle packs and have the motor moved further to the rear. Finally, Kyosho have the prototype of their new Mini-Z on display, which is an all new 4wd platform that is designed to accept small LiFe packs for extended run times.
