Italian company Bittydesign have announced that the 2011 running of the off road contest will take place from the 6th to the 8th of May. Already in its 3rd year, last year’s event was a big success and they hope to improve on that again this year. Expect more details to be released in the coming months.

For the 25th year the fastest drivers in the southwest have gathered to compete for the chance to be named Arizona State Champion. The AZ states were held at the infamous SRS in Scottsdale Arizona. Over 150 cars hit the track, ranging from Stock buggy to 1/8th gas buggies. Arizona’s stars Ryan Maifield, Tanner Denney, and Jake Thayer, showed that they were ready to keep the trophies in the valley against drivers from California and the surrounding states. Ryan Cavalieri, Frank Root, and Cody Turner, looked to spoil the locals plans.

Yokomo have introduced a wide main chassis conversion for their World Championship winning R12. The front width of this optional chassis is 6mm wider than that of standard chassis and as a result the stability of R12 improves and is very effective on high grip surfaces such as carpet. The set includes a new front damper, stabilizer and steering tie rod.

Arrowmax have released another new option part for the MRX-5, this flywheel. Machined made from 7075 aluminium it has been lightened through strategic machining of the surface and then hard coated for better durability.

STRC’s new CNC machined HD front and rear bumper/skid plates for the HPI Blitz range of cars helps add great looks and increases durability. The skid plates are machined from a solid block of aluminium and can handle any abuse from racing to bashing, while still allowing the front and rear bumper to flex. After intensive development and testing LC Racing have announced the new MLC Extreme fuel by Lamberto Collari. Available in 2.0 liter cans only, this new mixture is especially formulated for 1/10 and 1/8 on road cars and is available in 16% and 25% nitro. While the 2010 formula will continue to be available, the Extreme fuel helps obtain lower temperature, lower consumption and more power.

Neo Buggy & DXR have announced that the Neo Race for 2011, Neo11, will be held 22nd to 25th of April 2011, the 6th running of the race and 5th at the Harper Adams indoor facility. The timetable will be similar to the last event, a 4 day format is planned with practice on Friday 22nd, six rounds of qualifying on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th finishing off with finals on the Monday (25th). Qualifying will use 7 minute heats and the best four rounds from six will count. After the Dash4Cash success at Neo2010 the organizers plan to add a few more ‘special races’ to the schedule which should provide entertainment every day. The entry date will be announced soon.
