Nick now had a comfortable lead over 2nd place JP. Starting from the 16th lap, JP started to pick up his pace, with back to back 30 second laps, he was slowly catching the leader. With about 3 min left of the race, JP was on Nick’s Bumper. Nick’s pace start to slow down due to tire wear & track condition, while JP’s car got better later on the race, allowing JP to make the move at the back double, passing Nick.
