Yeah Racing SC10 4×4 mud flap plates

Yeah Racing introduce aluminium mud flap plates for Team Associated’s SC10 4×4 Short Course truck. The plates are cut from aluminium, come blue anodised and sport the Yeah Racing logo. Available in a set of four plates the parts are used to securely press the mud flaps against the rear bumper to protect the rubber parts from damage.

Xray XB808 & XB9 FRP mud protectors

Xray introduce the CNC-machined FRP mud protectors for the XB808 and XB9 line of 1/8 scale off-road buggies. Designed to protect the rear arms, driveshafts and shock absorbers from rocks, dirt and mud the parts are ideal when running in wet and dirty racing condition. Developed for direct installation the protectors do not require body trimming or the drilling of additional holes.

Kyosho Inferno GT2 Race Spec

Kyosho’s Inferno GT2 1/8 scale on-road cars receive a Race Spec upgrade and now sport a hardened main chassis plate, composite chassis stiffeners, KE25 big block engine with polished tuned pipe and header, and a 3-piece racing clutch that works the updated 2-speed transmission. Included in the ReadySet called package are also Kyosho’s latest KT-201 computerised 2.4GHz radio system, KS-200 high-torque metal gear servos and your choice of a Corvette 2007 C6-R or Audi R8 LMS body shell. Both cars will be available from March.

VBC Racing T3 chassis kits

VBC Racing introduce two new chassis kits for the Xray T3 2011/2012 electric touring car. Available as flex and stiff variant the kits include new designed 88mm wide chassis plates of 2.0mm or 2.5mm thickness, redesigned 2.0mm/2.5mm top deck, redesigned front and rear shock towers with additional shock angle adjustment positions, graphite front bumper plate with transponder mount, motor guard, adjustable battery stops and a new ball-raced low CG steering system CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium. Depending on the variant the chassis plates come plain or heavily machined to give the desired torsional characteristics with the flex version is being best used on asphalt and low-grip surfaces and the stiff version on high-grip tracks such as carpet and high-traction asphalt.

Stu Wood joins Team Losi Racing

Horizon Hobby UK have announced the signing of Stu Wood to their Horizon UK/TLR Race team. He will be concentrating on 1/10th off-road 2wd and 4wd in the UK National Series and the North West Regional Series and lots of testing around the Country. David Spashett said “Stu brings with him a wealth of experience and is a tremendous asset to any team and so we are obviously very pleased and excited that he wanted to be a part of our team and plans.  He is a fierce some competitor but is also able to find the time to help out and support anyone who needs it which is hugely important for us and all TLR/Spektrum owners.” Stu himself had this to say about the deal:

“I would first like to say a very big Thank You to Horizon Hobby and David Spashett for giving me this opportunity. This is something I have wanted for a long time now and I hope my 22 years of experience can help in any way. I am over the moon with all the Horizon products and there was only one Team I wanted to be apart of. I will be using all of the Horizon products so if anyone sees me at any of the tracks around the UK please come and ask any questions you wish. I will be concentrating on 1/10th Off Road 2wd and 4wd in the UK National Series and the North West Regional Series and lots of testing around the Country. JConcepts popular Bar Code SC tires are now also available in blue “soft” compound. The tire is designed to excel both in new and used condition on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions. Worn Bar Codes excel on indoor or outdoor clay tracks where a minimal dust groove has formed. Included with the tires are light-weight and durable Closed Cell profiled inserts.

Mugen Seiki signs Lee Martin

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced Lee Martin as a new member of their race team. Having driven for Tamiya USA previously Lee will strengthen the MSE team, coordinated through John Yves Ferte, around fellow UK driver Simon Willets and European Champion Robert Battle. The multiple electric European Champion will continue to race electric offroad as part of the factory TRF team. Stefan Habbecke, president of MSE had this to say:

I am really happy to have Lee on board. He will be an important part to achieve a strong further development of our international race team. I am looking forward to collect many new feedback for our future products and customers everywhere.
