Yokomo B-Max2 optional parts
Some weeks ago Yokomo announced new option parts for the B-Max2 line of 2WD buggies and now the parts are available for pre-order. Starting with the aluminium main chassis kit for the B-Max2WR and RS, the set is designed to improve both chassis stiffness and handling performance over the stock composite chassis. Featuring a hybrid construction and moulded plastic side pieces that are used to provide space for the electronics. Next up are two graphite battery holders that provide weight savings as well as improved pitch stiffness. Available for mid and rear motor cars the part also includes all needed mounting hardware and aluminium thumb screws. Designed to improve the rigidity of the front end are the narrow front upper arm mount and the front lower suspension mount. Both parts are available separately, CNC-machined from aluminium and they improve the feeling of the front end by adding weight. Those who want to improve the steering feeling of the buggy may like the aluminium steering bellcrank set. Included with the CNC-machined and blue anodised parts are four ball bearings to make for virtually frictionless steering action. The parts are more rigid than the stock moulded composite levers and offer rock solid cornering performance.
Swinging over to the transmission side of things, Yokomo have steel differential bevel gears available. The die-cast gears improve durability over the stock parts and are ideal when running modified motors. Another part for the drivetrain that improves durability is the alloy idler gear. Again the part is best used when running motors that create a lot of load on the drivetrain such as low turn modified motors. Last but not least come the aluminium “X” shock caps for the B-Max series of buggies such as the B-Max2 and B-Max4. Supplied as pairs each cap features a bleeding screw for easier building and maintenance and included with the parts come all needed seals. All parts hit the stores in August.
