Akio Sobue wins at Speed King Tour 2014 Rd1
The first round of the Speed King Tour 2014 took place at the Rajiten Nagoya indoor tarmac track in the Aichi prefecture. Although some top drivers from the Tokyo area, including last year’s “Speed King” Yugo Nagashima, could not attend because of unexpected heavy snow fall, many top works drivers made for a very competitive field. After three rounds of qualifying, young TRF driver Akio Sobue, took the Touring Car Modified TQ at his home track. Another TRF driver Takayuki Kohno, took the second place on the grid followed by Ryosuke Yamamoto. In the A-final Akio got a good start, led the race and ultimately won the race with his TRF418. Takayuki finished second while Shinnosuke Ogino took the final podium spot in third. The next round of the Speed King tour will be held at World Jam Racing in on the 2nd of March.
