Seymonsbergan & Lee win at IMCC Cup

The First big race of the year for Nitro Tourer and Nitro GT was held at the IMCC Club located in  Wollongong south of Sydney. Top qualifier in Nitro Touring was Aaron Lee (Serpent) followed by Alex Koussas, some 8 seconds behind. The TQ in the GT class went to Chris Stanley, just edging out fellow Serpent driver Rick Seymonsbergan by 1 second and in 3rd was Darren Neave only 2/100s of a second behind.

In the GT final racing was very close seeing Chris and Rick swap running nose to tail, and it was only a simple mistake that would see Chris Stanley  not finish the final. Up front Rick slightly edged out Ben Dunn in 2nd and Darren Neave in 3rd. The Nitro Touring final saw Aaron Lee lead the field away and was never to be seen again finishing 2 laps ahead. Alex Koussas fell victim to the first lap carnage and recovered well to finish 2nd over  Joel Casey who was starting from 8th on the grid, moving his way up to finish 3rd.
