Dutch electric on-road nationals Rd3 – Report
The 3rd round of the Dutch electric on-road nationals was held last weekend at the MRM track in Lelystad. Practice on Saturday took place under the best possible weather conditions but overnight rain washed away the grip and coming the first qualifying round the track was still wet but soon after the first round was completed, the clouds gave way for some sun, and racing action could start.
In the Touring Car Modified class the TQ then went to Rob Jansen (Tamiya) followed by Mitchel van Es (Yokomo) and Ronald Arts (Tamiya). The Stock class had Robert Krens (Schumacher) taking TQ in front of Xray fellows Jitse Miedema and Bram Lagerwey. The Modified class finals then saw a clean sweep by Rob Jansen (Tamiya) who took undefeated wins in all legs. Mitchel tried to follow Rob with his Yokomo, but could not get past. Tamiya driver Ronald Arts completed the top 3 result.
The Stock class also had its dominating driver in the form of Robert Krens (Schumacher) who won all three finals from the Xray duo of of Jitse Miedema and Bramd Lagerwey.
Elsewhere in the supporting pan car classes Reinder Wilms, Roy Pie and Herman Bosman completed the top 3 in Pro-10 class while Hampy Janssen and Bianca Wessels made the top two in the Formula 1 class.
