New Kyosho MP9 & RB6 option parts
Yesterday we brought you preview images of forthcoming option parts for Kyosho’s MP9 line of buggies and today Kyosho America have more definite information available. First up are new hard front suspension arms to compliment the hard rear arms that are optional on the MP9. The arms feature a stronger material that is especially useful when running in hotter temperatures or climates. These conditions tend to make standard molded parts a little flexible, and these arms are specifically designed to avoid too much flex in high heat. They are not recommended for running in temperatures below 20°C or 70°F.
The second new part for the MP9 are outer front hinge pins that are similar to the outer rear hinge pins in that they’re held into place with a nylon lock nut. They are meant to be more secure than the captured design used previously. These hinge pins can be used on any front suspension arm if you drill or ream the hinge pin hole to go all the way through the arm, but the new IF483 hard front arms are ready to use this hinge pin right out of the box. Also coming soon but with no images available yet is a new IFW459 steering bellcrank with a stronger servo saver spring. It features the optional hex spring adjuster as standard and comes completely factory assembled.
Also new are two front bulkheads for RB6-based vehicles including the RT6 and SC6. Available soon are a 24g brass and 10g aluminium bulkhead that are made to replace the kit’s plastic part. Stronger than the composite bulkhead they also add a certain amount of weight to adjust the steering aggressiveness to you liking with the brass part offering the most amount of steering.
