Currie & Reeves win at HNMC Winter Series Rd3

The 3rd round of the Herts Nitro Model Club’s Winter Series, held this past weekend, started off wet but the weather broke early enough on Saturday night giving the club a chance to dry the track out. 54 starters made the trip and in 1/8th Nitro Buggy and E-buggy it was Simon Reeves who took the TQ after the qualifiers. In the Nitro Buggy final Simon then had to retire some 15 minutes in to the race making way for Oliver Currie who fought down Kevin Brundsen for the win. Tony Truman rounded out the podium in 3rd place.

In the 12 minute E-buggy A-final Simon had better luck as he was able to defend the top position to end a lap ahead of runner-up Ian Barnard with Kevin Brunsden completing the top 3 in 3rd. And finally the Truggy class had Nick Theo bringing home the win easily as he was the only starter in the category.
