Schelle D413 stretch chassis & B5M titanium screw set
Schelle Racing Innovations introduce new option parts for the Hot Bodies D413 and the Team Associated B5M. Starting with the D413 Stretch Chassis Set, the Kurt Wenger designed part offers a lengthened wheelbase to improve the car even more. The buggy in kit chassis length pitches very quickly front to rear when entering and exiting turns and drivers are also aware that in shorty configuration the D413 can struggle with exaggerated throttle response in the air.
The +4mm longer wheelbase of the stretch chassis gives the car a longer footprint, reducing the pitching weight transfer that can cause the car to “3 wheel” and pick up a rear tire in the turns. Also in the air, the car with the longer chassis is less sensitive. In addition, on medium to large tracks, drivers will see more consistent lap times as the longer wheelbase is smoother and more stable in high-speed sweepers. The Schelle chassis set will be an advantage for larger track sizes and as grip increases (grooved, carpet, and sugar). The chassis is offered in premium carbon fibre material to keep the running weight near 1700 grams to take advantage of the lightweight “shorty” configuration. The Stretch Chassis kit is designed to fit kit and aftermarket bodies and body mount holes, with only slight trimming needed on the nose cone and it includes the main chassis cut from 2.5mm carbon, a new front top deck, O-ring dogbone spacers, an Upgrade RC chassis protector and instructions.
Also coming soon is a 52 piece Upper Titanium Screw Set for the Team Associated B5M buggy. Containing premium Grade 5 6AI-4V grade titanium screws in a bright machined finish they give the chassis that pure racing look. Unlike cheaper Grade 2, the Grade 5 titanium alloy is the most desirable, giving 40 percent lighter weight and corrosion resistance compared to steel. The Schelle set strategically removes kit steel screws from up high above the chassis, which lowers the centre of gravity and improves handling.
