Exotek TLR 22-4 aluminium & carbon fibre options
New from Exotek comes a range of aluminium and carbon fibre option parts for the TLR 22-4 buggy. First up is the twist nut battery post set whose design uses alloy twist nuts instead of body clips for holding down the battery straps. The twist nuts have knurling for easy grip and include rubber inserts to keep twist nuts from rattling loose. The threaded alloy posts use steel lower screws for durability and have the upper post extension so that stock body clips can be used for the body. The set is available in glossy black or yellow and it is compatible with saddle or single shorty style packs.
Next up are heavy duty 7075 alloy rear hubs with vertical ball stud mounting. The hubs are durable but machined to be lightweight and they offer vertical ball stud mounting to allow for easy roll centre adjustments by adding or removing shims. The included 1mm spacer for the 22-4 ball end are designed to match the stock ‘B’ setting of the plastic hubs for easy set up reference. ‘C’ setting uses no spacers and ‘A’ setting requires 2mm in spacers. The hubs have an extra 3mm hole for using a 3mm set screw on the hinge pin. Also new is a heavy duty front pivot brace that replaces the stock brace with a more sturdy and durable part. The brace comes black anodised and laser-etched for that special look. Last but not least is a strong carbon fibre LiPo strap for the TLR 22-4. Made of special matte finish factory looking 4mm thick carbon fibre. At 5g each, each strap is almost 2g lighter than stock and it is compatible with saddle or shorty style packs.
