Serpent F110 SF2 formula kit

Serpent introduce the all-new F110 SF2 1/10th scale formula car kit. Designed by Michael Salven and David Ehrbar the car is based on a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and it features a new front end design compared to its predecessor with 2.5mm lower carbon fibre and upper composite A-arms, adjustable ride height for both rubber and foam tyres as well as quick adjustable castor using moulded inserts. To fine-tune the steering characteristics the king pin angle is adjustable using inserts and the included independent front suspension set with tube dampers helps to smooth-out the suspension action.

The chassis battery compartment of the chassis is designed for the use with 2S shorty battery packs and both the receiver and speed controller are located on adjustable carbon fibre platforms left and right of the battery. A centre RCC-type shock absorber with aluminium body and hardened shock rod takes care of the damping duties and it mounts to the carbon fibre battery retainer with quick access thumbnuts that allow for battery changes without the need for additional tools. Other features include a pancar-type rear end with rear links, and a captured pivot ball system that connects the chassis and rear pod in a way that prevents the assembly from binding for a more efficient suspension action while a single roll damper makes for a slim chassis layout. The rear ball differential is mounted to a lightweight aluminium rear axle and it is equipped with hardened steel diff plates and class-standard Tamiya-style wheel adapters. Included with the kit comes a newly-designed composite front wing with adjustable flaps and a large 2-level rear wing with adjustable upper segment to fine-tune downforce and drag. The wings are made from a tough yet lightweight composite for improved performance, rigidity and impact resistance.
