Mikael Fransson wins Swedish Cup Rd3

Round 3 of the Swedish Nitro On-road Cup was held in Trolhättan on a beautiful track with a nice flow and with 22 drivers from Sweden and Norway in attendance. After four rounds of qualifying it was Mikael Fransson (Serpent) who took the TQ honours some 3.5 seconds in front of Marcus Lindner (Shepherd). Lars Haugen (Mugen) and Bengt Andersson (Shepherd) would round out the top 4 result so far.

The main final still held some questions about the strategy as making 5 minutes was a bit of a problem for some drivers and with the high tyre wear it was not clear if one pitstop for tyres would be enough. This lead to many different strategies in the final that saw a battle between Mikael, Marcus and Magnus with the latter having problems towards the end of the run and he only finished in 7th place. Up front Mikael Fransson came out successful from Marcus Lindner and Mattias Ericsson (Mugen).
