2015 KO Propo GP – Report

The KO GP incorporating the final race of the Schumacher BTCC Championship took place at the West London track this last weekend. Well over 100 drivers took part in the three classes Modified, 13.5T boosted and 17.5T Blinky over two days of tough competition with the UK top drivers plus Schumacher’s young star Michal Orlowski from Poland. Unusually for West London the weather stayed dry all weekend with beautiful sunshine on Sunday. The Modified class was dominated by Elliott Harper taking a comfortable TQ with three TQ rounds from the five rounds of qualifying. Lining up behind Elliott was Olly Jefferies, Colin Price and Chris Grainger.

Elliott and Colin Price would have the advantage in the finals having saved two new sets of Sorex 32RY tyres from the three available and Elliott took the wins in leg 1 and 2 to become KO GP Champion in 2015, really being the class of the field this weekend. Olly Jefferies, Colin Price and Chris Grainger had similar pace but it was Olly who game out on top with Colin 3rd overall.
