Matteo Berlincioni takes Italian Formula title
The Italian AMSCI Electric Outdoor Championships were recently held at the Miniautodromo Il Lombrico in Milazzo. 80 drivers from all over Italy fought for the title in the three classes of Touring Modified, Touring 13.5T as well as Formula. In the Formula class Matteo Berlincioni (MDRacing) would TQ the opening qualifying round while Basile (Tamiya) came out fastest in round two. The remaining qualifiers would be held on Sunday morning and it was again Berlincioni who was on a mission by TQing round three and four, which allowed him to sit out the fifth and final round to save tyres for the finals. With Berlincioni, Basile, and Putrino (Xray) all scoring round TQs the title fight was on between these three drivers in the finals. Ultimately Berlincioni would be able to convert his pole position into wins in A1 and A2 to take the Italian national title from Basile and Putrino.
