Hupo Hönigl trifecta at Slovakia Cup Rd4

The Hudy Racing Arena played host to round four of the Slovakia Cup over the weekend. The event attracted a record breaking 140 entries including some international guests. The 1/10th Buggy classes saw newly signed Xray driver Hupo Hönigl coming out fastest in 2WD while Martin Bayer was the man to beat in the 4WD qualifiers. Hupo would continue to dominate in the 2WD mains as he won all three legs to take the overall win from Martin Bayer (Xray) and Juraj Hudy (Xray).

In the 4WD class things looked a bit different. Hupo Hönigl would come out successful in the opening A-main but TQ holder Martin stroke back in A2 meaning the decision for the overall win would be made in A3. The showdown between the two off-road titans had Hupo holding the upper hand to take his second win of the weekend. Young up and coming Max Gotzl rounded out the podium result with a fine third place.

In the premier electric on-road class of Touring Modified Xray’s own Martin Hudy came out successful from Patrick Golner (Xray) and Zdenko Kunak (Capricorn). The Yokomo duo of Michal Bok and Mateusz Ogonovski completed the top 5 result.
