Pro-Line release new 1/8th buggy tyres
Coming from Pro-Line are two new 1/8th buggy tyres and a compound update for the Fugitive tyre. Starting with the new tyres, first up is the SwitchBlade, a unique directional tyre with different tread on the outside compared to the inside, allowing to mount the tyre in the direction that suits the current track conditions. One side of the tyre has standard pins, which is ideal for loose or low traction conditions where the driver wants the tyre to add side grip and improve steering. When the tyre is switched to the other side, the tread is connected in a blade that reduces side traction in high-bite or edgy conditions. The pin size and pin spacing of the SwitchBlade is exactly in between the Hole Shot 2.0 and the Blockade, and the tread design also bears a striking resemblance to the iconic Hole Shot tread, but each lug is bigger, taller and more spaced out than the Hole Shot.
The second new tyre is the Suburbs buggy tyre. The ROAR National Champion tread is now available for 1/8th buggy owners. The indoor and blue groove tyre is available in Pro-Line’s proprietary super soft M4 and super soft X4 compounds and including blue closed cell inserts. As for the compound update, the Fugitive 1/8th buggy tyre is now also available in the super soft M4 rubber.
