Exotek release new XB2 option parts
Coming from Exotek and made for Xray’s XB2 2WD buggy are several new option parts. First up is the adjustable LiPo battery strap machined from high-quality carbon fibre and made for the Carpet Edition XB2. The slotted strap is of a heavy duty yet lightweight design and it includes hardware that positions the LiPo securely so that the bulky foam blocks are not needed. The carbon strap is stiffer than the stock nylon piece and features a mounting hole that allows to install a turnbuckle link in order to increases chassis stiffness.
Next up are extra lightweight titanium front axles. Weighing in at only 2.6g for both the parts greatly reduce unsprung weight for improved steering response. Also new is the direct spur mount for the XB2 that does away with the heavy slipper clutch assembly in favour of an aluminium hub that allows to directly mount the spur gear. Weighing in at only 3.4g without hardware the hub reduces the drivetrain’s rotation mass which can be beneficial especially for Stock racing. The spur gear mount takes Exotek Flite or standard Kimbrough gears and its design makes switching between the spur gear hub and the stock slipper easy when conditions call for it. Last but not least come the aluminium CVD safety collars. The heavy duty cups fit both the XB2 and XB4 and they offer improved durability over the stock plastic cups while also giving that factory team look. The cups come in packs of three in polished black or factory orange anodising.
