Li Jiawei & Cong win at Spring Cup
The recent Spring Cup in China attracted about 70 drivers to attend in four different 1/10th scale nitro and electric classes. A wet track in the morning as well as cold and snowy weather made things pretty unpleasant for the drivers and the race was postponed until 11:30 am to allow the track to become usable. Gerry Li Jiawei (Xray) would take the TQ in the Electric Touring class and although he used harder, less appropriate tyres for the A-main, he was able to bring home the win from Liu Rong (Xray) in second and Alfred Lao Min Hao (Xray) in third.
In the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring class Alfred Lao Min Hao (Xray) took an early TQ in the qualifiers and he would also lead for a good part of the main final but a flame out after the second fuel stop cost him dearly and he had to settle for second overall behind winner Cong (Serpent). Kent Mak (KM) rounded out the podium result in third.
