Ryan Lutz trifecta at Southern Indoor Champs

The recent Southern Indoor Championships saw Ryan Lutz (Tekno) walking away with a triple win. In the 30 minute Nitro Buggy A-main Lutz and teammate Joe Bornhorst (Tekno) would battle over the top spot and they were within a few seconds the whole race. It came down to the last few laps for the deciding pass and the win from Ryan Lutz. Joe Bornhorst came in second, Evan Vail (Mugen) rounded out the top 3 result.

1/8th E-Buggy A1 was a battle for four minutes or so, until Joe Bornhorst (Tekno) would fall back and Ryan would pull away for the win. Ryan would then seize an early opportunity in A2 and pull away for a win securing the overall. Joe would command the win in A3 by leading wire to wire and taking 2nd overall behind Ryan Lutz (Tekno) and in front of Shay Brand (Team Associated).

As Joe Bornhorst and Barry Petit battled for position in the Nitro Truggy final Ryan Lutz would benefit, establishing a 12 second lead by first pit stop and winning by a lap. Joe Bornhorst ran a strong race taking 2nd by over a lap on 3rd placed Barry Pettit (Mugen).
