Manuel Carlos wins at Portuguese on-road opener
The opening round of the 2016 Portuguese National On-road Championship was held at the Armaia track in windy and rainy conditions. In the 1/10th 200mm class the TQ went to Pedro Grandao but in the shortened 20 minute main final it was Manuel Carlos who came out successful despite a brake failure due to a linkage screw coming off. The podium result was completed by Tomás Andrade in third.

The Formula class win went to Claudio Souto who won three of the four final legs with Jose Carlos and Pedro Praca completing the top 3. Elsewhere in the 1/10th Touring class Helder Silva came out successful from Frederic Santos and Pedro Praca in second and third respectively.
