LRP AE Summer Challenge Italy – Report

The LRP AE Summer Challenge Italy was held at the MAV track in Varese, attracting over 70 drivers to compete in four electric on-road classes. In Touring Modified the TQ honours went to Antonino Mangiaracina in front of Micheli Massimo and Fenili Orlando. Mangiaracina also showed a blasting pace in the A-mains to take the win from a fast Massimo Micheli with Andrea Tonini rounding out the top 3.

In the 13.5T Stock class many drivers were fast enough to fight for the overall TQ but it was Barbieri to start from the 1 spot position. In the finals, Barbieri took full advantage of the pole position and as he grabbed the win while Andrea Valerio had to settle for second, ahead of Marco Puleo.

The Formula class qualifying was a pretty close affair with the top drivers all being covered by a couple of seconds. Ultimately Fabrizio Villa took the TQ followed by Valerio Solcà and Davide Carbone. An exciting final then rewarded Villa with the victory, followed by a fast Simone Brocca and Luigi Gargano.

The Rally DTM class saw Andrea Tonini coming out fastest from Andrea Brianza and Nicolo Renda while the 500/299 category was won by Bryan Ferrara with Simone Pavanello in second and Fabio Parisi in third.
