7th annual Top Gun Challenge – Report

The 7th annual Top Gun Challenge at NorCal Hobbies was run last weekend.  The race is put on by following the classic Top Gun movie theme with first place trophies being fighter pilot helmets. The finals were run in a double A-main format, meaning drivers have to do well in both mains. In Modified Touring Car, young Kevin Chiu was battling with TQ holder Rick Yoder for the entire day and at the end Chiu got second in leg one, and first in leg two to take home the Top Gun helmet.

Kyle Layton was TQ in 17.5 Expert, and had a double win in the mains. James Davenport got second, Elliot Miyashiro third, and Kevin Chiu fourth.
