Swiss Carpet Race – Report
The Swiss Carpet Race was recently hosted by the Mini Racing Chiasso club, attracting 80 drivers from Swiss and Italy. The race format was free practice on Friday, three rounds of practice on Saturday followed by a reseeding round as well as four qualifiers and triple finals. In the Touring Modified class it was Philipp Huber (Team Durango) that walked away with the win from Yokomo driver Michele Manzo and Serpent pilot Antonio Mangiaracina.
The Touring Stock class was won by Oliver Krähmann (Xray) from the Awesomatix duo of Nicola DiPalma and Davide Gianuzzi.
On to the Formula class that saw Matteo Berlincioni (Fenix/Fenix) taking the day’s win from Simone Brocca (Fenix/LRP) and Fabrizio Villa (WRC/Reds Racing).
In the 1/10th Pan Car class Claudio Pasquin came out fastest from Andrea Tonini and Roberto Cannas. Finally in 1/12th Pan Car it was Daniele Marletta to take the day’s win from Marcello Galli and Khounmy Bui.
