Layton, Turner & Zhao win at California Turf Cup

The 2018 California Turf Cup was hosted by Silver Dollar Raceway in Chico, California over the weekend. The event was held in the usual variety of Modified and Stock classes an the 2WD Open Buggy category it was Kyle Turner with the overall TQ thanks to winning round 1 and 2 as Q3 winner, Kyle Layton would secure the P2 spot on the grid. In 4WD Open Buggy it was also Kyle Turner with the TQ courtesy of coming out fastest in Q2 and Q3 while Q1 winner, Brian Strange had to settle for 2nd on the grid. In the very competitive 13.5 4WD class Patrick Zhao TQ’d from Julian Jimenez.

In the single 2WD Open A-main and after some close battles TQ Kyle Turner would end up 2nd after battling with eventual winner, Kyle Layton and 3rd placed Brian Strange the whole 8 minutes.

In the 4WD Open Buggy main Kyle Turner and Brian Strange would keep it close but Turner would end up with the win in the end from Strange 2nd and Jacob Lauterio 3rd.

In the 13.5 4WD main it was Patrick Zhao with the win from the pole position with Julian Jimenez 2nd and Joey Muniz 3rd.
