Avid roll out new B6.1 & YZ-2 optionals

Avid have announced the release of new option parts for the Team Associated B6.1 and Yokomo YZ-2 2WD off-road buggies. Coming for the B6.1 are the customisable Evo slipper and Stock direct drive sets that are designed to replace the standard slipper assembly. The customisable Evo slipper set allows to choose two spur gears of 69T to 87T in size and either the triple CPD pads, triple red pads, triple white pads or two white and two red pads – all depending on the chosen application. The Evo slipper scrubs nearly 5g or weight compared to the stock slipper assembly for improved acceleration and efficiency.

As for the direct drive kit for the B6.1, the set includes 69T and 72T spur gears and the slipper eliminator design makes for an overall weight of only 6.2g with the 69T spur and it is recommended for stock racing classes only. The Triad Evo and direct drive kits are also available for the Yokomo YZ-2 buggy with the Evo slipper set includes a 72T and 78T spur gear while the direct drive kit comes with a 69T and 72T spur gear. Also new and coming for the B6.1 are a carbon fibre gullwing arm front shock tower, a standard and tall rear tower as well as a 3.5mm carbon fibre motor plate. The front and rear standard shock towers are of an updated design with the outer shock mount holes removed and new in-between holes added for finer adjustments. The towers are made of 4mm carbon fibre and they fits the B6.1 and B6.1D. The tall rear tower features the same updated shock hole design as the standard rear tower, however its taller appearance makes it usable with longer 31mm shocks which can be beneficial in certain track conditions. Last but not least comes a 3.5mm carbon fibre motor plate for the B6.1. It is usable with laydown and layback gearboxes and scrubs 4g of weight compared to the standard motor plate. The Triad slipper and direct drive sets as well as the motor plate are usable with all 6.1 based kits such as the B6.1. B6.1D, T6.1 and SC6.1.
