Xray Racing Series Germany Rd3 – Report
The RCRT Duisburg astroturf track played host to round 3 of the Xray Racing Series Germany recently. The track was redesigned at the start of the season with the layout combining fast and technical sections. The schedule saw free practice on Saturday with the actual race taking place on Sunday. In the premier 2WD Modified Buggy class and after some great racing in all three A-mains it was Team Associated driver Jochen Müller with the win followed by Bernd Wiedenbusch (Xray) on the 2nd spot and Sven Braciak (Team Associated) taking the final spot on the podium.
Xray’s Jens Becker took the win in the 4WD Modified Buggy class followed by Ingo Lehmann and Pasquale Amato who rounded out an all-Xray podium.
The Truck Modified category saw Xray’s Jens Becker TQing the class and winning in all finals. Maik Diel (Xray) started from 3rd on the grid and worked his way up to 2nd overall while Andreas Bernardy (Xray) finished 3rd.
The 2WD Stock Buggy class was in the hands of Ingo Lehmann who grabbed the overall TQ after the qualifiers and won A1 and A2 for the overall win. The podium was completed by Christian Sens and Andreas Hüttepohl for an Xray 1-2-3.
