Midland Indoor Carpet Championship Rd2 – Report
The second round of the Midland Indoor Carpet Championship was held last weekend, attracting over 140 drivers to compete in three electric on-road classes. The premier Touring Modified class it was round one winner Elliott Harper (Xray) with the overall TQ and also the win in the single 5-minute A-main event, followed by Awesomatix driver and extremely happy Paul Pinkney finally getting his run of bad luck off his shoulders. Olly Jefferies (Schumacher) would once again make the podium in 3rd.
13.5 Super Stock saw Zak Finlay taking the TQ and also the win, in front of ARC team mate Colin Jackson. Awesomatix’s Sam Law came in 3rd to round out the podium.
In Touring 17.5T Stock it was an emotional day for Xray driver Jimmy Maddison with the passing of uncle Jacko who was known to everyone in the RC Community, the organisers dedicated the event to Jacko while also holding a minute silence to remember this great guy. Jimmy showed his might with the TQ and win with Awesomatix driver Gareth Hollis taking a comfortable 2nd, while Tim Woron (Awesomatix) rounded out the top 3.
Round 3 of the MiCC will take place on the 5th of January 2020.
