Völker & Ratheisky win at GP3F
The 2020 Grand Prix des 3 Frontieres was hosted by the French MRC Longwy club this past weekend, attracting a full 150-car entry for the two classes of Touring Modified and Touring Stock. The event attracted some of Europe’s fastest electric on-road racers and it was Yokomo’s Ronald Völker with the overall TQ from free agent Yannic Prümper and Marc Rheinard, the latter campaigning an Awesomatix car. The triple A-mains saw Ronald taking wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall while Mark Rheinard snatched the overall runner-up spot with a win in A3. Yannic Prümper had to settle for 3rd overall as Yokomo’s Christopher Krapp completed the top 4.
Over in Touring Stock, attracting nearly 120 entries, it was Xray’s Jan Ratheisky with the overall TQ, tie on points with Valentin Hettrich. In the finals Jan sealed the bag early as by taking win in A1 and A2 he was able to sit out A3 as he already took the overall title while Valentin Hettrich and Awesomatix’s Olivier Bultynck battled it out for the overall runner-up spot. In the end it was Valentin who beat Olivier in the tie-breaker as Leo Arnold came in 4th, leading the best of the rest.
