TLR 22 5.0 optional chassis & 22X-4 Driveshaft Bones

Team Losi Racing has released a number of new options for their competition 1:10 Buggy chassis offerings.  First up are two optional chassis for the 22 5.0 2WD Buggy which come in +4mm and +7mm longer versions.  The +4mm longer chassis will make the buggy smoother and less twitchy on entry, carry more mid-corner speed, and have more on power steering, but still have enough grip for clay surfaces.  A prototype of the +4mm chassis was used by Dakotah Phend to win the 2022 ROAR Dirt Nationals and is the race teams’ choice for dirt and clay tracks.  The +7mm chassis creates the perfect length for carpet and astro turf surfaces to produce good consistent lap times.  It is very smooth on entry, great mid-corner rolling speed, and increased on power steering for surfaces with very high traction like carpet and astro. Phend took the 2022 ROAR Carpet Nationals using a prototype of the chassis.  Both chassis are CNC machined from 2.0mm 7075-T6 aluminium, milled for weight reduction and optimised flex characteristics, then hard anodised for wear resistance and protection.

For their 22x-4 4WD Buggy they have introduced new X69mm CVA Driveshaft Bones.  These X69mm length CVA bones are the X style driveshaft, which have less lock up in the CV joint and provide more consistent rear grip while accelerating.  These are the correct length driveshafts for carpet racing in the #3 and #4 CVA pin location holes for the 22 5.0 when running the 22X-4 rear suspension arms which has become a popular tuning option.
