MXLR TRF421 FlexBumper and Front Body Support

Germany’s MXLR has released a version of its FlexBumper and a Front Body Support for Tamiya’s TRF421 competition level 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The FlexBumper is 3D printed with thermoplastic polyurethane for the optimal strength and flexibility and absorbs hits better and doesn’t transfer them as much into the chassis structure.  More robust and sturdy, it always goes back to original shape and don’t drag on the floor after a crash.  The MXLR FlexBumper for the TRF421 matches the original footprint, but with a lower overall profile! Also the front body post adjustment of the TRF421 is fully in function with their design, the bumper can slide back and forth depending on the used body post position.  A direct replacement for the kit foam, the lower overall profile helps to keep the weight in an acceptable range.  There are two MX logos on the backside to proof the originality.

With the trend of feather light bodyshells and even higher top speeds, deflection of bodyshells became an issue for serious racers.  MXLR’s solution is their Front Body Support for the TRF421 which prevents deflection of the bodyshell under higher speeds.  It also reduces the risk of cracking the front wheel arches of the bodyshell.  The result is an extended lifetime of your bodyshells combined with better performance on the track as the shell will stay in its original shape and produce more downforce!  Made of flexible and durable plastic, in the design process MXLR took special care about the TRF421 front bulkhead design and the importance of “flex” in this area. The Front Body Support is designed to have the least flex influence possible.
