Leadfinger Racing V2 Beretta 1:8 Body

US offroad bodyshell manufacturer Leadfinger Racing has revealed the upcoming V2 version of its Beretta 1:8 Buggy body.  The V2 Beretta is a design concept that combines their previous Assassin, A2.1 Tactic and Berretta body features.  The modern combination complements both hard and soft lines that provide perfect overall balance under multi surface track testing.  At the front of the body, the added “fin rails” located on the front the side pods are new for LFR and provide an “edge” that significantly increases corner traction, entry and speed.  The fin rails flow seamlessly into the V2’s rear side pods that have been carried over from the Beretta body.  The rear chiseled design helps to maintain downforce evenly during corner exit, high speed jumping and plants the buggy more consistently upon landing.  The added winglets on the top of the pods are an original design concept first seen on Ty Tessmann’s Worlds winning HB D15 in 2014.  The rake of the windshield and cab shape stem from the 2012 Assassin body line while the integrated shark fin comes from Serpent’s earlier 2000’s 1:10 offroad bodies.  Quickly becoming a trend in 1:8, the added stability performance continues to be a popular feature to offer.  Successful testing has been completed on the Tekno NB 2.2, HB D819 and Kyosho MP10 race buggies, with LFR set to do testing on the Sparko F8, Mugen MBX8 and Sworkz platforms.  The expected official release of the new V2 Beretta is the upcoming IFMAR Worlds in Spain.
