Mugen Seiki MTC-3 Touring Car
After months of proving the car’s ability on track with Ronald Volker, Jacob Cruz and Soren Sparbier, Mugen Seiki has finally unveiled its highly anticipated MTC-3 electric touring car kit. The MTC-3 is an evolution of the highly successful MTC-2 and MTC-2R platform with the prototype first raced at the 2024 IFMAR World Championship, where the two MTC-3’s entered in the event both made the A-Main with Volker finishing 4th and Jacob Cruz finishing 10th. The MTC-3 is a complete new design from Robert Pietsch with the only parts transfer over from the MTC-2R being drive shafts, spool, diff, and drive belts. The MTC-3 features a 1.5mm aluminium chassis and a unique top deck design and short shocks round out a new new suspension package.
Chassis
• New 1,5mm aluminium chassis.
• Used with standard type screws only (no need for special screws).
• The new chassis provides a wider range of torsion stiffness adjustments to be able to tune for all track conditions.
• The new chassis eliminates the need for a carbon chassis option.
• Lower center of gravity for improved cornering (0.5mm and 0.7mm respectively).
• The chassis design has less overhang to provide more clearance and reduces the chance of the chassis touching the track surface.
Suspension
• New carbon lower arm design.
• New shock and upper arm angle adjustability – no shims needed, no shims to be misplaced.
• Quicker and easier to make setup adjustments.
Motor mount
• New designed aluminum motor mount.
• New adjustable layshaft height.
• Allows you to use the spur gear in the lowest position possible.
• Ability to use 90T spur gears for a large range of categories and track conditions (stock and modified).
• Better weight distribution.
Topdeck
• New carbon topdecks with improved topdeck position in the car.
• New topdeck allowing the upper bulkhead plates to be removed completely.
• Easy access to the dear differential without disassembling anything else beside the rear topdeck.
• New bulkheads with compact design
Shocks
• New shock tower screw directly to the bulkheads – no additional parts needed (possible to use in fixed or active position).
• New Short Shocks provide lower center of gravity and improved geometry.
• New range of ultra-short shock springs.
• Reduced weight of the shock package.
New Bodyposts
• Easier to mount the body shell.
• The front has two distances to make body prep easier.
• The rear has three options available for mounting the body (horizontal, vertical & horizontal with additional part to mount into the wing stay of the bodyshell).
• The rear has an adjustable suspension up travel stopper included in the kit.
Other new features
