Hot Race Trophy Rome – Report

The Hot Race Trophy Rome was held at the Gianni Modellismo track in both electric and nitro classes. The 1-day race saw three qualifiers of which the best round counted. In Electric Touring Car Modified Alessio Menicucci took the pole position for the mains from Nicola Marrone and Simone D’Ottavio while the Touring 13.5T blinky class was lead by Valter Cola from Flavio Buzi and Djalma Bochicchio.


In the Modified class finals Alessio Menicucci took wins in A1 and A2 to grab the overall victory early while Nicola Marrone suffering from a mistake in the opening stages of A2 which cost him a chance to fight for the win. Alessandro Inchiostro would round out the Modified podium in third.

In the Touring 13.5 blinky A-finals Valter Cola confirmed his dominant performance, winning all finals after fighting closely with Flavio Buzi while Djalma Bochicchio had to settle for 3rd.

In the Nitro main final David Loppini, starting from the 2 spot, made an impressive recovery after dropping down the field after a first lap incident and despite scoring the fastest times, an additional fuel stop cost him the win with Giorgio De Felici coming in 1st followed by David Loppini and Massimiliano Pau.
