TLR 22 4.0 1/10th 2WD buggy kit
TLR have introduced their new TLR 22 4.0 1/10th 2WD off-road buggy kit. Building on the successful 3.0 kit, that was introduced back in November 2015, the 4.0 variant was developed with maximised versatility in mind. The kit builds on a new lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that has been revised to accommodate a variety of battery configurations while machined pockets take optional weights to fine-tune the buggy’s weight bias. Included are also two transmission options, a standup gearbox for low to medium-bite tracks as well as a laydown option that moves the motor about 20mm towards the centre which is helpful especially on high-bite surfaces.
Additionally the kit also allows to run an adjustable rear shock location – when running the laydown gearbox – with the dampers can be mounted in the back or front of the arms, with the latter begin a popular option on high-bite tracks. Also included are aluminium plate rear hubs with vertical ballstud mounting positions and the suspension parts as well as select other parts are made from Stiffezel composite material with a higher glassfibre content for a more consistent and stable driving. The gearbox is equipped with a fully updated ball differential with Gen II outdrives, revised thrust washers, tungsten-carbide balls, a 1-piece nut and a self-centring diff gear. The kit is rounded out by various included option parts such as a milled 7075 alloy top shaft, motor plates, rear camber block, clamping rear hexes, alloy ballstud spacers, HRC and LRC front pivots, standard and +3 rear hubs, alloy bleeder shock caps and machined shock pistons and internals. The kit also includes a new lightweight 0.7mm polycarbonate body and it will hit stores in late April.
