Mugen reveal more MBX8 details

Following a first series of images, Mugen have revealed more details of the new MBX8 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The follow-up model of the ultra-successful MBX7 will feature new front and rear suspension mounts as well as updated front and rear gearboxes that allow to extract the gear differentials without detaching the suspension arms. The latter are of an updated design and made from a more resistant composite material. They are also box-shaped and include arm stiffeners to reduce flex and further increase durability. Optional carbon fibre plates will further enhance the ability to adjust their overall flex.

Next up is an updated centre differential mount that is made from a stiffer material while a new top plate reduces chassis flex to provide a more consistent handling and better clutch bell, spur gear and clutch bearing life. Also new is a redesigned radio plate assembly with the MBX8 accepting flat-type 2S LiPo or LiFe receiver batteries. Both the receiver and receiver battery sit in an enclosed box. The MBX8 is rounded out by an updated body, clamping servo saver nut, new front and rear shock towers, front bumper and centre universal joints.
